What this site does

It estimates the German care grade using the assessment instrument of section 15 of Book XI of the Social Code, calculates 2026 long-term care insurance benefits and shows average care home co-payments for each federal state as published by the vdek, the association of substitute health funds. It is not run by a Pflegekasse, the Medical Service or a care home, it is not care counselling under section 7a SGB XI and it provides no legal services. Only the competent Pflegekasse decides on a care grade. Methods: how we calculate.

Liability

Figures are re-checked after every change in the law and every new vdek release and are tested automatically before publication; we nonetheless give no guarantee that they are free of errors. Linked third-party sites are the responsibility of their operators. Please report mistakes via the contact page.
